Meet Zach Guzman. Zach has been with A.E.D. since August of 2012. He started out in the shop pulling and prepping orders, sweeping floors and cleaning saws. After a few months, he started making deliveries to the local race shops and fabricators near the shop. Soon after, Zach became our inventory Quality Manager in which my primary job was receiving and inspecting ALL incoming materials. During this time, he also helped put in place the written formal policies and procedures for inspecting incoming material for ISO 9001 certification. We received our ISO registration on our first attempt in late 2015.
In 2016, Zach started working in the front office doing sales and digital marketing. For a couple months, we were down one key salesperson, so he had to get acclimated pretty quickly. Zach is also responsible for all the Social media, email marketing and blog posts along with our website management. "While there are several accomplishments I am proud of over the years, the most rewarding one has been increasing our digital presence. Since taking over our social media, I have doubled our following on Facebook. I have also increased our email marketing and blog content focusing on educational content that is a valuable source of information for our customers. My goal is to make A.E.D. your number one source for material information."
Before coming to A.E.D., Zach attended the University of Tennessee at Martin, pursuing a double major in Accounting and Marketing. After a year of school, he decided it was a better move financially to join the workforce and complete his education later on. Shortly after, a good friend introduced him to Al Lowe, president of A.E.D., as we were looking to add another person in the warehouse.
Outside of A.E.D. Zach is back in school pursuing a B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance. He will complete his degree in 2019. Zach also enjoys playing soccer, traveling, playing with his dog, snowboarding, riding dirt bikes and hanging with his girlfriend and friends.
