Hardness is accomplished by cold-working, which may create some magnetism). Tougher and more ductile than most ordinary steels, 304 (and other austenitic), also has excellent mechanical properties and weldability and good corrosion resistance.
Stocked in full sheets, generally 48 x 120; cut pieces available.
AED stocks stainless sheet in a variety of thicknesses, Meets ASTM A240 and others.
